About W4ATC

W4ATC was established around 1930 at what was then called the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical College, or State College. The club includes members from many backgrounds and participates in a wide variety of activities. We participate in emergency activities and the national traffic system to pass inportant messages across the country or locally in times of emergency or just for fun in normal times.

When able, we also participate in several contests throughout the year including field day, the North Carolina QSO party, the ARRL VHF/UHF Sweepstakes, and our biggest contest, the Collegiate Championships / ARRL November Sweepstakes. This is our way of competing with other college amateur radio clubs all over the U.S. We also enjoy rag chewing on our repeaters and all over the world from our shack in 432 Daniels Hall. We have even talked with the MIR Space Station

Come by and visit our shack or e-mail us at Jim WW4M for more information on club activities.
